The NBA and the Players’ Association are implementing new rules, in effort to prevent more COVID-19 outbreaks within the teams.
The league and the union say for at least the next two weeks, players and team staff will have to remain at their residence, when they are playing at home. They are prohibited from leaving their hotels when on the road, except for practices and games. They are doing this, because recently, teams were forced to postpone their games, due to health and safety protocols. As of now, at least 35 players in the league dealing with virus-related issues or protocols.
